  I organized a picnic for a North East neighborhood. After reserving the Goode Park facility at a cost of nearly $100.00. The picnic was successful,but the facilities were much less than satisfactory. The restroom were clean but stark. No hand soap was available. I had paid extra to have electricity available for crock pots to keep our food at temperature. The pavilion had a single outlet for our use. It was broken and the city people were unwilling or unable to fix the problem and maintenance people contacted would not respond and suggested running our extension cords through the wall to an outlet That was inside a locked utility room. That resolved the electricity problem until the promised return of someone to open the utility room so our electric cords could be retrieved. Calls to the Rec Center did not produce any help and a trip to the Rec Center did not resolve the situation. It seems the only way they could contact the people that could solve the problem was by email. No response and they did not have access to keys to the utility room. After waiting for about two hours for help, I cut my extension cords, leaving both of my cords unusable. Service and Support of the Parks and Rec Department were far below acceptable. I suggest giving renters a contact phone number directly to support personnel. I am available to discuss solutions to the problems.
